Fillers

Fillers

Dermal fillers are one of the most popular non-surgical options for solving aging skin problems. They do exactly what their name suggests- they fill in the area underneath the skin.

Fillers are a non-invasive technique used to plump lips, contour and soften facial features, remove wrinkles and make scars less noticeable. The filler is injected into targeted areas of the face to reach desired effects. There are several types of dermal fillers that can be used depending on which area of the face you are targeting and what your desired look is.

Our specialized dermatologist will consult with you before the procedure to determine which of the fillers is best for you. Most of these fillers are temporary because they are eventually absorbed by the body.

What does the treatment involve?

CONSULTATION: At the start of any Filler treatment a thorough consultation will take place, where our specialized dermatologist will examine your face and discuss with you your specific skin needs and concerns to determine which of the fillers is best for you.
PROCESS: A topical anesthetic is applied to the skin before the procedure to help minimize any discomfort or pain. Once the numbing has taken effect the doctor will start with injecting the filler in the treated area. The injection only takes a few minutes and after minimal swelling subsides, the effects are immediate.
TIME: The procedure takes about 30 minutes to a hour.
FINISHING: After the procedure you might notice redness and swelling for the first few hours after the treatment, this is normal.
NUMBER OF TREATMENTS NEEDED: Results can last from 6 months to a year. With repeated treatments, the results may last longer.
