Turn back the hands of time! As we age, the skin on our hands becomes thinner, causing veins and tendons to become more prominent. Dermal fillers work by restoring the volume of the skin that has been lost with ageing. When used on hands, this can make visible bones, tendons and veins less prominent. At the same time giving the hands an overall more youthful appearance.
What does the treatment involve?
CONSULTATION: At the start of any hand filler treatment a thorough consultation will take place, where our specialized dermatologist will evaluate your skin and discuss with you your specific skin needs and concerns.
PROCESS: A local anesthetic or numbing cream is applied to the hands before injecting the dermal filler between your fingers and hand.
TIME: The procedure takes 30 – 45 minutes.
FINISHING: After the procedure you might notice redness and some bruising, this is normal and will subside with time.
NUMBER OF TREATMENTS NEEDED: Fillers could last from 6 to 8 months and usually completely dissolve after about a year, so regular touch-ups can help maintain the look.
